The house habit
Fika is on the house, once every visit
Somewhere in your session you take ten minutes off the screen — coffee or tea, a biscuit, no charge and nothing to sign up for. It is not a reward you unlock; it comes with the seat. Push the chair back, let your hands rest, and let the match wait.
Once a day the whole room does it together. At 16:00 the kettle goes on and the club meets in the middle: regulars, first-timers, whoever is in. Ten quiet minutes, then everyone drifts back to their rows. It is the warmest thing we do, and the simplest.

Machines kept like a bike tuned for spring
The dark room at the back is where the club stays honest. Every station is serviced on a schedule, not when it finally breaks — the same care you'd give a bike before the first warm ride.

Current graphics
Cards refreshed each season and stress-tested before they hit the floor. Frames stay steady from the first shot of the morning to the last hour of the night.
Chairs that hold up
Mesh-back seats set for long sittings, wiped down between visits. Adjust the arms, lean back for fika, then square up again — they take it.
Serviced, not patched
Peripherals swapped on wear, drives cleared and machines cleaned every morning before the doors open. No sticky keys, no mystery lag.

We keep the library wide rather than deep in any one lane — some nights the hall wants five-a-side, some nights it wants a quiet builder by the window. Ask at the desk and we'll point you to a station where friends are already in.
Gaming here is meant to feel like the rest of the club: unhurried and warm. There's no rush to climb a ladder or clear a shelf. Pick a lane that suits your mood, settle in under the daylight, and let the session take its own pace — a quick round before fika, or a long afternoon that quietly slips into evening.
We keep the shelf broad on purpose. A night can swing from a tense team round to a slow builder by the window without anyone getting up, and friends who like different things can sit two by two and still share the same bench. Whatever you're in the mood to play, there's a corner of the hall that fits it.
New to a genre? That's half the fun. Say so at the desk and we'll set you at a station where regulars are already deep in it, biscuit tin within reach. The nicest runs here often start with someone leaning over to explain the map — and staying for the whole session.

House notes
Small changes around the club
Thursday's new biscuit
The Thursday tin now holds a rye-and-honey biscuit baked down the street. It keeps well by a warm keyboard, and a few regulars have already asked for the recipe. The oat-and-raisin stays on the other days.
Felt on the second wall
We lined the second wall with felt panels this month, so the far end of the Birch rows is noticeably softer now. Between the panels and the wood, the whole hall holds sound the way a quiet room should.
Fresh mats down the rows
Every station got a new desk mat — the old ones had earned their retirement. Bigger surface, kinder on the wrist, and easy to wipe clean each morning. Small thing, but the rows feel newer for it.

The things people ask at the desk
Is the fika break really free?
Yes. Once per visit you get ten minutes of coffee or tea with a biscuit, on the house. It is not a tier or an upsell — it is baked into the price of every seat, at every station. Take it whenever the session gives you a natural pause.
What coffee do you pour?
A medium filter roast, ground on the day, plus a caffeine-free herbal tea for late sessions. Oat and dairy milk both sit by the kettle. Refills during your fika ten minutes are fine — and yes, take the biscuit too.
How loud does it get?
Quieter than most clubs. Felt panels line two walls, headsets are the norm, and the Felt corner is our low-voice zone. If you want to talk plans out loud, the Duo bench near the lounge is the spot for it.
Do I need to book ahead?
Walk-ins are welcome when seats are open, but weekends and evenings fill up. Booking a station holds your row and your hours. Use the Book a seat form below and pick your spot and length.
How late are you open?
We run until 23:00 every night, with the last hour starting at 22:00. No overnight sessions — everyone heads home to sleep, and the club opens fresh in the morning with the machines already cleaned.
